I qualified in 1990 from the Oxford School of Massage with an ITEC in holistic massage with anatomy & physiology, later that year I decided to take their Sports Therapy Course to learn deep tissue massage. I then took an ITEC aromatherapy course feeling that it integrated well with my work and I absolutely love the essential oils.
Whilst trying to build up a comprehensive treatment ranging from deep tissue to extremely subtle massage I decided to become take the Reiki attunement to consolidate the healing nature of my work.
I believe it is important to continue updating and retraining and have taken Advanced Aromatherapy for pregnancy and childbirth as well as advanced massage techniques for pregnancy.
I have also taken a specialised course in The Shoulder Girdle, many of my clients were suffering from frozen shoulder or pain and stiffness around the shoulder and neck area and I wanted to have the knowledge to be able to work deeply in the neck and shoulder muscles.
My most recent training is in Hot Stone Fusion using naturally polished volcanic stones that are heated to give a deep moist heat to specific areas.
I can treat most muscular aches and pains – including sports injuries , IBS, Stress related headaches. I can help treat emotional situations with Reiki and essential oils.
