Treatments
Craniosacral Therapy
Is a gentle hands-on treatment, through clothing. The core of the craniosacral system is the fluid that bathes the brain and spinal cord, the flow of which is reflected throughout the muscles, all the connective tissues of the body, and in the responses of the nervous system. The practitioner palpates restrictions, stresses and strains, assessing areas of hyper or hypo- activity, and via subtle pressure helps the body to release, rebalance and reconnect.
The therapy is particularly helpful in addressing the shock of trauma which is held in the tissues of the body, whether it be from injury, illness, emotional stress or the birth process. Specific pains and tensions can be treated, as well as headaches and migraines, fatigue and insomnia, digestive complaints, breathing difficulties, and emotional imbalances. It is also widely used to bring about deep relaxation, to destress and as a general MOT towards a sense of well-being. Its gentleness makes it suitable for people of all ages, including newborn babies, and during pregnancy.
