Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
Craniosacral therapy is an art which connects the body with its own core health and directs the system towards its own rebalancing. It can, therefore, be used to help specific ailments but also as a preventative system for maintaining health. It works through establishing the uninhibited flow of cerebrospinal fluid. Flow may be limited by stresses, tensions and strains in the body which result from physical or emotional stress or trauma. These stresses lead to ‘inertial’ areas in the body which are unable to express their natural motion. A CST practitioner palpates these areas and reflects them back to the body in such a way that enables the body to let go of the tension held there. This in turn allows these areas to be re-integrated into the whole with a resulting improvement in health.

CST is appropriate for people of all ages including babies and during pregnancy and for a wide range of ailments including digestive problems, breathing disorders, headaches, muscular aches and pains, depression, difficulties in conceiving, anxiety and stress, and issues arising from trauma - emotional or physical. It is also a powerful tool for self development.

What's Involved?
A pre-treatment consultation identifies areas that need attention. Full diagnosis and treatment is through light contact on the body which assesses stresses and strains that may be leading to difficulties in physical, emotional and mental health. During treatment the client may experience heat, pulsations, tingling or other sensations and a deep sense of relaxation. The client remains fully clothed.
