Edward has been studying the human body for over 10 years. He found his passion for massage while studying various forms of treatment in Sedona Arizona and is a graduate of the Sedona School of Massage. He is always seeking to learn new forms of treatment and mastering techniques in order to best serve his clients. Edward’s goals in the field of body-work include enhancing the overall function of the human body, relieving tension, and helping support the body’s natural ability to heal.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue techniques are most appropriate for individuals seeking relief from tension in muscles and connective tissue that lie underneath the superficial muscles. Often fists and elbows are used in addition to hands and fingers in order to release muscle adhesion and relieve discomfort. A deep tissue session involves communication between client and practitioner and does not have to involve pain.
Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)
AIS is a technique designed to engage the breath with movement for the purpose of increasing flexibility and blood flow to specific areas of tension. After having a session you will be given a set of stretches that you can perform at home to better facilitate the healing process and reduce recovery time.
Active Release Techniques (ART)
ART is a movement-based technique that requires you to be an active participant in the session. The practitioner coordinates precise strokes and tension whilst the client performs a specific movement. Active release provides treatment for over-use injuries, nerve entrapment and helps break up scar tissue.
