What is yoga therapy?
Yoga Therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices to suit each person’s health and circumstances.
You don’t have to be fit or flexible to benefit from yoga. Yoga Therapy uses gentle movement, simple physical postures, breathing practices, relaxation techniques and meditation.
Your body and breath will set the pace of work so that you will remain comfortable in whatever practice you do.
You can begin to practice yoga and benefit right away, even if you have never done yoga before.
How does yoga therapy work?
When you start yoga therapy for the first time there is an initial consultation so that an appropriate yoga practice can be developed and shaped to suit you.
This may be followed by further one to one sessions or in small groups with individual attention. Between sessions, there is some home practice to do.
Yoga therapy is a holistic treatment that can benefit anyone.
