Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient system of Chinese Medicine. According to traditional Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body's motivating energy - known as qi - moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of meridians (channels) beneath the skin. The flow of qi can be disturbed by many physical, mental and emotional factors. By inserting very fine needles into the channels of energy, an acupuncturist can stimulate the body's own healing response and help to restore its natural balance.

The bigroom clinic offers acupuncture in an affordable ‘multi-bed’ setting. Modelled on a treatment environment commonly seen in China, the treatment room is open-plan, with four beds separated by privacy screens. Two practitioners treat more than one patient at a time, which means that prices are significantly lower than typical one-to-one treatments. Patients receive an initial one-to-one consultation and treatment in a private room. Subsequent treatments are then given by the same practitioner in the bigroom. Our intention is to provide a safe, peaceful, and supportive environment in which healing changes can occur.
one-to-one sessions
Individual sessions are also available where you can benefit from your practitioner's undivided attention for up to an hour in a private room. A 10% discount is offered if you pay for three sessions in advance.
